Insisto siempre con el tema técnico de sacar la voz para apoyarla antes de cualquier otra consideración técnica o dinámica. Gedda, un exquisito músico además de gran cantante, aquì trabaja con un tenor sueco al que no le pide ningún refinamiento mozartiano sino que lo insta a ubicar alto y franco el sonido. Una vez logrado eso se puede pasar a refinar las cuestiones de dinámica, o las exquisiteces musicales. Si en cambio se mezcla todo al principio, es altamente probable que el alumno " apiane con la gola "

Dear Friends :

I always insist on high placement and an open sound before any other technical consideration. Here , in these five videos the great tenor Nicolaï Gedda shows his Swedish pupil how to do it. He, who is a great and refined style specialist besides his greatness as a vocalist, does not mix dinamics with vocalism. If he did so he would stop his pupil from producing a free and open sound. If the pupil has not the technical freedom first, it is highly probable that he woul make a Mozartian piano from the throat and without breath support.
